月のシリーズ
2020年から本格的にこのシリーズを制作しています。この年は、コロナパンデミックで世界の人類の活動が一時期停止した。地球からの人類への警告だったのかもしれない。何か大きな社会の出来事があるたびにあらためて何のために芸術があるのか？を考えさせられる。いつもなにかできることがきっとあるはずと思う。より多くの人たちに芸術の必要性を訴えていかなければと感じさせられた。そんな中で「月」のシリーズが生まれた。月を描いているとその背景がとても気になりはじめ、そこが宇宙だということにあらためて気づく。月を描いているうちに宇宙と向き合っていることに気づかされる。そこには無限大の世界が広がっている。不思議な解放感に出会う。未知のまだ人類が到達しきれない存在。まだまだその先に広大な可能性が現実として存在しているのだ。「月」のモチーフは、自分自身の新しい可能性を広げてくれた。
Moon Series
I have been working on this series in earnest since 2020. That year, the COVID-19 pandemic temporarily halted human activity around the world. Perhaps it was a warning from Earth to humanity. Every time a major social event occurs, I am forced to reconsider the purpose of art. I believe there must always be something we can do. I felt a need to appeal to more people about the importance of art. It was in this context that the "Moon" series was born. While painting the moon, I became increasingly curious about its background, and I realized once again that it was the universe. As I painted the moon, I realized I was facing the universe. An infinite world unfolds before me. I encountered a mysterious sense of freedom. An unknown existence, yet beyond the reach of humanity. Vast possibilities still exist beyond it. The "moon" motif has opened up new possibilities for me.
